(Newser) – In what seems perhaps an inevitable move, Carrie Prejean will guest host a Fox News Channel morning show May 27, according to US News & World Report. Miss California, who became a hero of gay marriage opponents during the Miss USA pageant, will fill in for Gretchen Carlson on Fox & Friends, the same show Prejean appeared on with Donald Trump Wednesday.

“She has become a national celebrity in the last few weeks, and it's a fun thing to do,” said a Fox VP. But Prejean didn't cleared this appearance with the Miss California pageant, a violation of the new rules she hashed out with the Donald, TMZ adds—perhaps proving Shanna Moakler right. The resigned Miss California exec told Access Hollywood yesterday, “I don’t think Carrie Prejean will take responsibility for her actions, ever. Ever.”

I’m not going to put my name on her if she’s going to continue to go on television shows and lie about petty things. - Shanna Moakler
