Jacko 'Secretly Fighting Skin Cancer'

Sources say singer won't let diagnosis stop comeback gigs

(Newser) – Michael Jackson was diagnosed with skin cancer weeks ago but he doesn't plan to let the disease halt his comeback, sources tell the Sun. The cancer is believed to be linked to the skin disease Jackson says he was diagnosed with in the '80s. Doctors have told him the cancer is treatable and the singer has been seeking treatment from top surgeons.

"Michael’s tests showed spots of skin cancer on his body, and cells which could turn to skin cancer on his face," a source said. "He said he’s insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on." Jackson is scheduled to play 50 sell-out shows in London starting in July.

Michael is really looking forward to his concerts and is determined to wow his fans at each and every gig, a source said.

Doesn't mention what kind of skin cancer? I've had numerous basal cell spots removed, it's no biggy treatment, just have to keep an eye out for the more serious types now.
