The iconic mouse joined Disney CEO Robert Iger and top Shanghai officials—as well as Goofy, Princess Jasmine, and other friends—for a groundbreaking ceremony today at the future site of Shanghai Disneyland, the Los Angeles Times reports. Deal marks one of China's biggest-ever foreign investments

(NEWSER) - Disney has moved a step closer to bringing the Magic Kingdom to Shanghai, which just closed the doors on a record-breaking world expo. The company and a firm backed by the city government have signed a $3.6 billion deal to build the theme park, a year to the day after the Chinese government green-lighted the project , AP reports. Verdict in 'group licentiousness' case due tomorrow

(NEWSER) - They were members of a modern-day swingers' club in China, where people met online and then gathered in homes or hotels for group sex parties involving dozens of men and women. Last month, Ma Yaohai, a 53-year-old college professor and 21 others went on trial in the southeastern city of Nanjing, accused of "group licentiousness"—a charge created in a 1997 law and never used until now.
