Bodyguard Sues Brit

Plus, Winehouse hospitalized yet again, and more

Share

(Newser) – Britney Spears’ legal battles continue—but this time it’s the pop princess who’s getting sued, by her former bodyguard, Us reports. Kerry Vine, who says he was hurt while working at Spears’ former home, is suing her for personal injury, battery, and negligence. Elsewhere:

  • Amy Winehouse was hospitalized—for the third time in three months—after binging on alcohol in St. Lucia, the Sun reports.

  • It should come as no surprise as Ted Haggard, the evangelical pastor who “cured” his homosexual urges after being caught with a male prostitute, is not voting for Adam Lambert to win American Idol. Last night he Twittered his support for non-gay rival Kris Allen, Gawker notes.
  • Carla Bruni really, really, really likes hubby Nicolas Sarkozy. The French prez was embarrassed by a viral video showing Bruni stroking his hand and staring at him during an interview, the New York Daily News reports. Watch the video at left.
