Killing Dolla Was Self Defense: Suspect

(Newser) – The man accused of killing rapper Dolla claims the shooting was self defense, reports the Los Angeles Times. Police arrested Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, for shooting the rapper in the head at an Los Angeles shopping center Monday. The suspect's attorney said Dolla and friends had recently attacked Berry outside an Atlanta strip club, and that he believed Dolla was reaching for a gun after another confrontation In LA.

Berry, a promoter, said he met Dolla in LA by accident. The two had a verbal confrontation in a restaurant restroom before the rapper and two of his crew followed Berry to the parking lot, where the shooting occurred. Police recovered only one gun, which belonged to Berry, officials said.

YES! Lil Troy! Wow thanks man, you just brought back memories of my teenage-hood. To stay on topic though, I've never heard of this guy and the only reason this is a news story is because the guy is a rapper and the murder happened near where BIG was shot.

The difference in this situation to me, Tupac will is famous for the many albums and MOVIES he has been a part of. This guy will be famous for getting shot. Maybe his catalog or whatever will be released and highlighted, but I don't know the amount of anything he has. The problem now days is, just because one has many tattoos, wears white Ts, might possible be involved in criminal activity, AND speaks over music DOESN'T one an up-and-coming rap star. Oh, Sorry. The 24" rims is what validates an artist.
