Huffington Post Helps Left Dominate Right Online

Share

(Newser) – In the battle for the blogosphere, left-leaning sites are clobbering their conservative counterparts, thanks mostly to the Huffington Post, David Kaplan writes for paidContent. Liberal sites attracted 6.4 million unique visitors in April, to 4.8 million for conservative sites. Of those, 5.6 million were Huffington Post hits, trouncing the second-place Drudge Report’s 1.7 million.

The right can take solace in knowing that it holds nine of the top 20 political sites to the left’s eight. In addition, some conservative sites, like MichelleMalkin.com, are growing fast, while the DailyKos and MyDD are losing steam. It can also pin some hopes on Tucker Carlson’s upcoming Daily Caller, which is billing itself as the right’s HuffPo.

No, see, Huffington Post is not the reason. Actually, people seem to enjoy reading FACTS as opposed to crazy opinion and lies. Perhaps it is the intelligence of the left's writers and actual truth in reporting that is trouncing the Right-Wing blogs ... Reply

Yes, that's it thinker, Drudge is just one lie after another.....Actually, it's just republican spin, much like the Huffington is liberal spin. I believe there is truth in both, it's just a matter of how you view the world.

I agree! I am pretty conservative but I can't listen to Rush Limb (was on a long trip home listened to his show... it was complete garbage). or anyone else for that matter. I enjoy both sides Republican and Democrat but I wish there were more people on Republican T.V. that really explored topics and didn't fall the Get-Er-Done approach they are all fond of. (I don't really like Bill Mar) but he does respect conversation in a forum and that is something I would like to see republicans doing. Let's get some educated republicans on T.V.! It is supposed to be the news after all not the Colbert Report. Reply
