(Newser) – Fans of Stephen Colbert know he’s taking his show on the road next month, though the Comedy Central star hasn’t gotten more specific than “the Persian Gulf.” Enter Sarah Palin, who blew his cover today on her Twitter feed, Videogum reports, with the Alaska governor spilling that she was taping a spot to be shown next month when Colbert’s in Iraq.

“Getting ready to tape shout-out for our awesome US troops serving overseas!” she wrote earlier today. “Will be on Colbert Report next month, broadcast from Iraq…” Colbert’s people would neither confirm nor deny.

I've noticed you like to laugh a lot at your own attempts at humor. You realize that's a sign of mental instability don't you?

I'm with you brother, that's why I wear my tin foil hat everywhere I go, otherwise the CIA would be controlling every move I make, and the aliens at Area 51 would be eating my brain, one gram at a time.
