Britney's Lawyer Wants a Divorce

Posted Aug 18, 07 3:48 PM CDT in Arts & Living Gossip US    Editor's Choice

(Newser) – Britney's hot-shot divorce lawyer is on the verge of jumping ship, the New York Daily News reports.  Laura Wasser seems to think Britney's become bad business; she referred the pop star to other legal talent for continuing help with her her messy custody battle over her two sons with Kevin Federline.

Wasser, whose clients include Angelina Jolie and Nick Leahy, hasn't been returning calls, but tabloids speculate that she's decided Britney's just gotten too trashy to handle. Meanwhile Britney's still keeping gossip columns well-fed: she spent the last two nights in a Beverly Hills hotel with reality TV magician Criss Angel.
