Facebook Boobs Bungle Breast Rules Again

Share

(Newser) – Facebook executives have again bungled rules banning breasts on the site, this time concerning cancer surgery. Facebook bans "sexual content" and bounced photos a cancer patient posted of her mastectomy scars to educate other women. After a torrent of complaints a Facebook spokeswoman admitted: "We made a mistake," and encouraged the woman to repost. Still an ongoing debate are breast-feeding photos. Facebook relented a tad on that ban and allowed "discrete" shots after complaints.

What do you expect when you have some snot-nosed arrogant little pissant child with too much money running a giant corporation? It'a breeding ground for moral authoritarianism. Talk about stupid. Reply

I think the problem is more the running towards breasts than the running away from them... Sexy legs or backs or feet may turn you on, but them being exposed shouldn't be construed as a 'sexual invitation' or provocation.

Thing is, there are tons of breast feeding websites and cancer patient sites with reliable input from doctors and patients. Why does this person feel that FB is the best source for information is beyond me. Anyone can join, anyone can post. Reply
