(Newser) – It was an “eventful day” yesterday, a Connecticut woman said afterward: She got married and still had time to save a family from a burning house. On her way home from her wedding reception, Georgette Clemons spotted smoke. Still wearing her wedding gown, she dashed from the car and burst into the home, rescuing the family, including a pair of dogs and two ferrets, the Connecticut Post reports.

“My shoes got messed up, but what are you going to do?” she said.

The woman was yelling about her animals and didn't want to get out so I had to pull her out, said Clemons.

This woman definitely has an all-timer of a wedding night story.
