(Newser) – The CEO of DirecTV is Rupert Murdoch’s choice to be the new No. 2 at News Corp, execs tell the Wrap. Chase Carey will return to the company where he’s held numerous top posts to replace Peter Chernin, whose contract ends this month—though Carey would be vice-chairman, not president. “The deal is essentially done between him and News Corp,” said an insider.
