Make no butts about it: Eminem’s run-in with Sacha Baron Cohen’s derrière was staged, the Los Angeles Times reports. The man who wrote the bit for Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards took to the web to clear up the brouhaha for posterior—er, posterity. “Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged. They rehearsed it at dress (rehearsal),” Scott Aukerman explained.
“And yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then,” Aukerman adds, but he’s since removed the posting from his Tumblr, which could spark even more controversy, Animal New York adds. So far, MTV, Baron Cohen, and Eminem haven’t commented on the stunt, the AP notes.
