Well I considered my remarks and I was out of line in one respect and I shall attempt to correct that now. I find it a shame this man and his family had to endure this, another example of how the more crowded the world becomes the more isolated we have become and I should have addressed that instead of taking this tragic situation so lightly, I was out of line and I do apologize to all especially the family of the deceased. And I shall not be caught doing so, I live in an area where corruption runs wild, the Police Chief and the 2nd in command were just indicted on corruption charges and that is mild as to what happens almost annually. Within the past 5 years alone ranks of the police have been busted for distribution of cocaine, bribery and stalking. The Federal Gov. constantly is involved in attempt after attempt to clean it up and each time it seems to fall very short. As a child it was not uncommon for a local detective to make headlines as he solved cases each week in a fashion unheard of in the area, it seemed suspects were lining up to turn themselves in to the man. Federal Marshals FINALLY sent in undercover agents and discovered why. If seems this fine upstanding officer had a special technique, he had an extension cord one end bare wire showing and would cuff the prisoner in a metal chair. One end of the cord would then be clamped to the chair while this fine upstanding detective would then lightly apply the other bare wire to an exposed eye lid, penis or various locations around the body and this had gone on for years even though the prisoners told of it often and the local department swept it under the rug. Yeears before the same department were all placed behind the bars of their own jail once more by Federal Agents who caught them stalking military personal as they left a local air base they would wait for the GI to stop for a beer and the GI would awaken in the local jail with all types charges filed against him or her. It was an arrangement between the cops and the bar owner to slip the GI's a Mickey and then after passed out would put them in the squad and haul them away. The best part? That was 1300 miles from where I now live and I see no difference in the attitudes. Walk in my shoes and see what I have seen and then and only then pass judgment, to gain respect you must earn respect and I have seen very little to that effect. Reply
