Grassley angered by health care comment

(Newser) – Sen. Chuck Grassley slammed the president in angry Twitter messages yesterday, saying Barack Obama has "nerve" for declaring "it's time to deliver" on health care while vacationing in Paris. Grassley is a crucial Republican ally on health care reform, which Obama has said needs bipartisan support. But Obama's increased involvement with the issue seems to be diminishing any hope of that, AP reports.

"Pres Obama while u sightseeing in Paris u said 'time to delivr on healthcare.' When you are a 'hammer' u think evrything is NAIL. I'm no NAIL," Grassley tweeted. A White House rep responded: "President Obama is gratified that the Senate is working hard to bring a health reform bill to the floor on schedule. He looks forward to continuing his work with them upon his return from the commemoration of Allied heroism at D-Day."

poor clearsight...dim vision all along. GOP has learned from Mrs. R.: Just Say Nol what else have they offered ? health care? better pay and health for military? smaller govt? and on and on and on. They stood for things once but let it all go under Bush and said nothing. Now they have nothing to say but NO.

The right is going to pick at anything and everything with Obama. They have little intention of working to change the health care system here. They just want to be involved enough to say that they were there but they weren't listened to.

(NEWSER) - A recent book on President Obama’s mother undermines his oft-told story that his mother spent the final years of her life battling insurance companies over her medical bills. The book, by New York Times reporter Janny Scott, reveals that Ann Dunham actually had health insurance that readily paid her claims.
