Kwan, Hughes Skate On to College Diplomas

(Newser) – Figure-skating champions Michelle Kwan and Sarah Hughes both had to step outside the rink to land their latest accomplishment—graduating from college. Five-time world champ Kwan, 28, received a Bachelor's degree in international studies with a political science minor from the University of Denver. Hughes, meanwhile, completed a degree in American studies at Yale, reports People, and recently hit the ice again after a break for her studies.
