Palin Calls Letterman 'Pathetic' After 'Slutty' Joke

Sniping between Sarah Palin and David Letterman is making the rounds tonight on political blogs. After Letterman joked in his top 10 list last night that Palin had a "slutty flight attendant look," Palin shot back today at his "pathetic" joke, reports Politico. "What a commentary there,” she said during an interview with a radio talk show in LA. “That’s pretty pathetic, good ole David Letterman.”

Palin complained that Letterman failed to mention the reason for her trip to New York: to raise money for autism. She grouped him with other media outlets where "facts don't matter." It looks like the two will have plenty of time to make up: Letterman is close to signing a deal with CBS to remain on the air through 2012, notes the Hollywood Reporter. He makes about $30 million a year, though CBS may cut costs by negotiating a lower license fee with his production company, Worldwide Pants. (More Sarah Palin stories.)
