Usher, Wife Near Divorce
Couple splits, papers not filed yet

The honeymoon is over for R&B star Usher and his wife of nearly 2 years. Divorce papers “haven’t been filed yet, but we had a telephone conversation last week with an attorney asking how to file,” a court clerk tells the Daily News. The split with Tameka Foster comes 4 months after Usher flew to Brazil to join her after she went into cardiac arrest during cosmetic surgery.
“Everyone close to Usher knew how unhappy he was,” says one insider; another adds, “He was tired of how demanding she is. He always had to cater to her constant insecurities. But now he’s ready to move on and take care of his kids.”
