Scribe Blames Obama for Dave's Palin Jokes

Letterman 'dirty talking' on Obama's behalf: Cupp

(Newser) – A conservative columnist yesterday blamed Barack Obama for David Letterman's cracks about Sarah Palin's "slutty" look and her daughter, reports the Huffington Post. "This is the enduring legacy of the Obama campaign," SE Cupp, who writes for the Washington Post and Politico, told Sean Hannity. "I blame Barack Obama because he allowed his surrogates in the media and Hollywood and everyone else on the left to do this dirty talking for him."

Cupp called on the president to condemn Letterman and declare that "this kind of rhetoric will not be tolerated." Palin reacted angrily when Letterman referred to her "slutty-flight-attendant look" and quipped that her daughter got "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez. Letterman later clarified that the Rodriguez joke did not refer to Palin's 14-year-old daughter, as the Alaska governor had charged, but to Bristol, who "I'm sorry, did get knocked up," he said.

It shows the true state of desperation that these Republican whores (not all of them are) and far right haters (far too many of them are rabid and venomous) have arrived at. There is no muck they will not hurl and no falsehood they will not spew in their desperation and blind rage. Scary !!!

prowlerzee, you're losing it. Nobody got called a whore. There are, in fact, slutty flight attendants, and some who have poor taste might laugh at the idea that they have a "look" and, unfortunately-- or fortunately-- Governor Palin sometimes slides over into that sphere (like when she wears bright red patent leather and when she wears gaudy open-toed footwear that show her toenails painted with Hello Kitty decorations.) This look obviously works for the Governor in Alaska (enough to get her elected to high office once-- the trick will be to get re-elected in 2010.) Anyway, the Governor has now had tons of free exposure and received an apology of sorts from the evil doer for creating confusion about the idea that her 14 year old could get "knocked up." As we all know, her 16 year old in fact did have a little accident we now all affectionately know as Tyke... Tick... Trigger...? Whatever. So, you and the Governor should just let it go at this point, imho. Unless she wants to take Mr. L. up on his invitation and give him a piece of her mind, set him straight, put him in his place, and make whatever points she cares to make. But she apparently doesn't feel confident of her ability to do that. My question is, how on earth did she ever convince herself she'd be able to stand up to the likes of Kim Jong Il, Ahmedinejad, Putin, etc.
