Skydiving Bush Sr. Turns 85

(AP) – George H.W. Bush celebrated his 85th birthday by skydiving over the coast of Maine today. The 41st president made a tandem jump with a member of the Army's Golden Knights parachute team onto a landing zone near a church in Kennebunkport, where the family has a summer home. "I don't feel a day over 84," he told the Portland Press Herald.

"I'm exhilarated, charged up, excited," Bush said. All of Bush's children, including the other former president, were on hand for the jump, and he reported that his wife praised the location. "It's a very good thing you're doing it at a church," the senior Bush quoted Barbara as saying. "We don't have far to move you" if things go awry.
