(Newser) – After a series of high-profile break-ups, Jennifer Aniston has learned that laughter is the best medicine, Us reports. Last night at the Women in Film Awards in Hollywood, the former Friends star observed, “I have a strange parallel with movies I was doing and my life off-screen,” citing Derailed in a thinly veiled reference to her split with Brad Pitt.

“If anyone has a movie called Everlasting Love With an Adult Stable Man, that would be great!" Aniston cracked, drawing laughs from the crowd. “I'm at table six.” Presenting Aniston with an award, host Chelsea Handler praised her for increasing the visibility of women in film and decreasing the visibility of former Aniston flame John Mayer. “We thank you for that,” she said.

Aren't you straddling the fence when you feel you have to bring up the daisy ad that only ran once and was actually addressing some genuine concerns about which candidate would be most likely to get us into a nuclear exchange? The sleaziness of Morris and Rove is cut from entirely different cloth, I would argue. The Cuban Missle Crisis was in everyone's recent memory and Moyers and LBJ were among the few who knew just how close we really came to the brink. As for Morris, I also recall how wrong his predictions were in 1998 when he predicted big Republican gains and instead Gingrich was swept from his Speakership after big post-Impeachment losses for his party. Finally, I'd like to know more about your loss and why you missed out on beautiful Saturday weather wherever you are. There's an email address on my profile page now (or will be when you read this.)

Oh, to not straddle that partisan fence I throw in the fact that my idol Bill Moyers was the one who ran that terrible Daisy ad that wiped Goldwater off the map and set the stage for Ailes, Atwater and Rove. So, everybody, on all sides has some hand in this whole mess.

Is it just me or does everyone think about that prostitute sucking his toes when they hear the name Dick Morris? I have an old book that Morris wrote when he was still living in the Clintons' butt. I read it while I watch him on Fox to remind me that the root of all evil is the "pursuit' of money and not actually money itself. Weirdly enough, Fox is peopled by folks who seem to forget that they have reams of yellowed pages belaboring the points that they now find so offensive. It makes me doubt their sincerity.
