(Newser) – A fly that invaded a CNBC White House interview yesterday was no match for the leader of the free world, the Christian Science Monitor reports. After repeatedly warning the fly to get out of there and let him discuss financial regulation in peace, President Obama delivered a surgical strike, dispatching the pest in midair before calmly resuming the interview.

"That was pretty impressive, wasn’t it?” Obama gloated as the cameras focused on the pulverized fly. “I got the sucker."

Most excellent comment. Although it was very cool to see, I am tired of seeing Mr. O on TV every single day and often twice or more a day. I wonder when he has time to figure out his policies, never mind discuss them and write them down.

One more time, Rob-- the simple question to ask is whether if this had happened with Bush would it not have been picked up by a site like newser? Isn't it more healthy for us to be interested in the daily activities of our president, rather than a clown from a reality show or an obnoxious hip-hop star, or any of the latest teen TV sensations, or the wife of a billionaire Ponzi schemer? If Bush had the class to take his wife to the Big Apple on their anniversary for dinner and a show, or even to go out to pick up burgers for the staff, wouldn't that have been on the nightly news? Of course it would ! If the Bushes' daughters had been Sasha's and Malia's ages when their parents got to the WH, the attention of all the nation's children would have been focused on what they were doing. So give up on the pettiness. This is how it's going to be for the next 3.5 years at least. Then if you get your wishes granted Sarah Palin and her brood will be idolized by the media to a degree as great if not greater than the Obamas. It's the age we live in Rob. Let it go, man.
