(Newser) – Rafael Nadal announced today that he will not defend his Wimbledon title, the BBC reports. A nagging knee injury and losses in exhibitions today and yesterday appear to have convinced the world’s No. 1 tennis player to bow out of the tournament, to begin Monday. “He is having difficulties bending and it seems his treatments aren’t enough,” his coach said.
