Cowell: I Goofed With Boyle

(Newser) – Simon Cowell admitted that he overestimated the strength of startling songbird Susan Boyle during her trials in Britain's Got Talent. The fragile overnight-superstar has been emotionally overwhelmed, canceling another concert last week. "She seemed fine with all the attention. I thought perhaps naively that she was in control," Cowell wrote in the Daily Mail. But it quickly became apparent that "Susan was finding the experience difficult to cope with."

Cowell realized just how much Boyle was struggling when he spotted her face as she lost the final competition." Christ, she doesn't know how to deal with not winning,' " Cowell recalled thinking at the time. "It was a bad moment." Regardless of her continuing "ups and downs," audiences love Boyle, according to Cowell, who vowed to continue to support her.

But thats his "thing"...he's supposed to be sarcastic and mean.....when doing his job, thats how he formed his reputation and sell himself in the public eye......in real life ????? don't know...you don't hear too much about the private side. He may be worse, or maybe a pushover Reply

The guy is kind of dumb, passing himself off as some super genius saint. From what I remember he didn't go to college, was born rich, and used his daddies connections to muster up some form of cash doing the only thing he can. Sitting, complaining, and spending money.
