(Newser) – There’s one bright spot in Farrah Fawcett’s struggle with cancer: She and Ryan O’Neal are finally tying the knot. The 68-year-old O’Neal, who has dated Fawcett, 62, since 1980 and “used to ask her to marry me all the time,” popped the question again recently and she said yes, he tells ABC. The two will wed “as soon as she can say yes,” O’Neal said.

Really love the way everybody is jumping on the "we love ryan" bandwagon. lol. If your sister came home with a guy who had just been arrested for meth, had a son who was just arrested for meth, and a daughter who'd been arrested for heroin, and he seemed to spend much of his time doing court enforced public service work, and getting into fistfights with his son that generally end in somebody getting arrested, how supportive and happy for them would you really be? Can't wait to have the guy over for Christmas dinner? I doubt it. Farrah is an intelligent woman who was smart enough to never marry this guy; I hate to see her do it now so that he can do an endless series of People magazine interviews about her long after she can speak for herself.

RobN. So happy for you. Absolutely thrilled to the bone that addiction is something you mention so lightly. My admiration runs the gamut from A to B. Am faint with delight at the way you mention all those genetic links and don't pull them together. Again, delighted and amazed by your ignorance. Can only weep that it is so rare.

Sorry, you start throwing the bigotry word around and I'm going to respond. I think if you'll check some other threads, you'll see that people commonly respond more than once to a thread. Somebody responds to me and I respond back. Don't read it if you don't like it. It's simple.
