Dunkin' iPhone App Ruins the Coffee Run

People want to leave the office

Share

(Newser) – Dunkin’ Donuts has a new iPhone app, and it’s a dud, writes Matthew Shaer for the Christian Science Monitor. “Dunkin’ Run” users can send emails to their coworkers notifying them of an impending run; the app makes a list of orders and the “runner” heads to Dunkin’. The problem: “Someone in DD HQ obviously thinks that office workers want to stay in their cubicle.”

That’s completely wrong, Shaer writes: “People make coffee runs not necessarily because they want coffee—although sometimes they do—but because they want a breath of fresh air.” Thus, “Dunkin’ Run” gets a resounding “fail.”

I completely disagree with the person who wrote this article. No one in my office wants to do the run...we just want the coffee. Reply
