GLAAD to Perez: Apologize for Calling Will.i.am Gay Slur

The manager of the Black Eyed Peas punched Perez Hilton after the gossip blogger called Will.i.am a faggot during a heated argument, reports the Los Angeles Times. Now the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is demanding that Hilton apologize for using the gay slur. "I made the split-second decision that I was gonna say what I thought was the worst possible thing— which was a handful of assorted F-bombs," blogged Hilton, who's gay. But GLAAD isn't accepting the explanation.
"These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community," said a spokesman. "For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person is incredibly dangerous." Police have charged Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio Molina with assault after the confrontation with Hilton at the MuchMusic Video Awards Sunday in Toronto.
