(NEWSER) - It’s not much of a spoiler to say that the Lost finale didn’t exactly go over well with critics . Except Entertainment Weekly ’s Jeff “Doc” Jensen, who loved it…even though he had been advancing “theories that were cooler than the real answers” the entire time, writes Charlie Jane Anders on io9 . Anders rounds up a dozen of Jensen’s best:

• The Colbys: In this Dynasty spin-off, main character Fallon is abducted by aliens.
• Roseanne: We found out that most of the stuff that happened was really just the plotline of a novel Roseanne was writing.

Creator doesn't see series, now shooting Season 4, lasting past Season 6

(NEWSER) - Season 4 of Mad Men is still shooting, but its creator already knows when the hit series will end, reports the Weekly Blend blog . It won't go past Season 6, Matthew Weiner said at an industry convention last week. That seems to be a sweet spot for 1-hour dramas, notes the Wall Street Journal —The Sopranos wrapped up after a half-dozen seasons, and Lost is in the process of doing likewise. More»

Date for speech not set, but it's not Feb. 2: Gibbs

(NEWSER) - The date isn't set yet, but couch potatoes can relax: President Obama's State of the Union address will not muscle out the 3-hour premiere of the final season of Lost on Feb. 2. "I don't foresee a scenario in which the millions of people who hope to see a conclusion to Lost are pre-empted by the president," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said at today's daily briefing.
