Gosselin 'Rich Kids' Get $28K Playhouses

(Newser) – While Jon and Kate discussed their painful decision to divorce on the latest episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, their kids were frolicking in their four new, custom-made playhouses that cost a whopping $28,000, reports ABC News. The super-pricey haunted house, pirate ship, veterinary clinic, and garden shop were proof of just how far from the "just plain folks" reality the reality show has strayed. One thing stayed real: Jon and Kate argued about where to put the playhouses.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again this show is worth watching simply for the fact that you have eight kids who came from only two womb jobs. All eight of them may as well have come from different planets. It's an interesting study of nature and nurture.

What a waste of money. Shoot, start a college fund or something. Why waste 28k on playhouses. I feel sorry for these kids.

deebles. I am all for healthy study and debate of issues such as nature vs. nuture. But MOST reality TV shows rely on drama and conflict. Case in point. The ONLY reason I know about this show is because of the publicity from the divorce. I have yet to hear one of their kids names or anything about the kids thus far. I could watch the promos and other stuff online and find out easily I'm sure. As I understand it there area set of twins and a set of sextuplets. this isn't about learning the effects of society in certain cultural situations. This seems all about shock TV.
