Satirical piece is 'a malicious desecration': Palin rep

(Newser) – Sarah Palin is defending her kids again, CNN reports, this time from a liberal blogger who doctored a photo of the governor with her baby son. Linda Kellen Biegel replaced the face of year-old Trig with that of a conservative radio host who’s chummy with the Alaska governor. A Palin rep called it “a malicious desecration of a photo that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love.”

Biegel insists she was making fun of the radio host, not Trig Palin. Still, the Palin rep says President Obama should say something against such behavior from liberal activists. “Babies and children are off limits,” she said. “It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama administration sets the moral compass for its party.”

“a malicious desecration of a photo that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love.” er.....isn't that the same language used when the school teacher 'desecrated' the prophet by naming a teddy bear after him? the same language used when they 'desecrated' Islam in a cartoon in Denmark? The same language used when the Fatwa was issued against Salman Rushdie for 'The Satanic Verses'. The only thing being 'desecrated' here is the English language.
