Phone lets users immediately post video

Share

(Newser) – Mobile video uploads to YouTube have soared 400% since the new iPhone released last week, Ars Technica reports. It's a noticeable spike, even though mobile uploads have been on the rise: They went up by 1,700% in the last six months. The iPhone lets users shoot video and upload it immediately over the Internet or the phone's 3G network.

Nice, since that's what YOUtube was supposed to be about in the first place... maybe someday user-generated content will out-number the bootleg stuff... Reply

Very little good can come of this. A lot of the videos where someone put in enough thought to actually get out a camera, transfer it to a computer, and upload the video are terrible enough. Now we have videos with 0 barrier to entry and on low quality cameras at that. And oh god the comments sections. The youtube comments sections... Reply

I agree with you about the comments and the filter, but a lot of good can come of this.
