Rush: Blame Obama for AWOL Sanford

Gov bolted because country's 'going to hell in a handbasket'

(Newser) – Rush Limbaugh has a novel theory about why Mark Sanford left the US: He was sick of the way the country’s being run. The South Carolina governor's disappearance, it seems, was President Obama’s fault, the Huffington Post reports. “This is almost like: I don't give a damn! Country's going to hell in a handbasket. I just want out of here!” Limbaugh said on his show.

“My first thought was, he said, ‘The hell with this!  The Democrats are destroying the country, we can’t do anything to stop it—I gave everything I had to stop it here in South Carolina. My wife’s left me. The hell with it! I’m gonna enjoy life what little time I got left.”

In the modern age of Jim Crow -which we STILL live in- it is fashionable and more than feasible to blame a black man for just about anything. I can't recall all instances, but ASHLEY TODD is the immediate one that comes to mind. In the 50s, one could probably blame just about anything on a black man and would be believed: lost your job? A black guy took it on the way home. Your wife, daughter, or mother been raped? It's PROBABLY the black guy. Car got stolen, with your kids in it? Be on the lookout for a black guy. Robbed at an ATM, and had a 'B' carved into your face? ABSOLUTELY a black guy, says FOX NEWS. This is more of the same. Now days our small interconnected, instant information age has laid that to rest. But how many black would have been beaten, harassed, in jail, or dead if the Ashley Todd story emerged in the 50s? For some, the biggest difference from the 50s to now is that Jim Crow is more COVERT than the OVERT version people of the 50s were used to. Amazing!!

Typical Republican response. Blame Obama...and never take responsibility for their own failures...remember they still think "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq. Rush Limbaugh has that pea size brain of his rattling in that large fat empty space.

I think this is a very important point. The only reason people like this exist is because we give them a bigger platform.
