Never fear: Britney Spears is alive. A post from her Twitter account claiming she had died is false, the AP reports, a result of the hacking of her Twitpic account.  Ellen DeGeneres’ account with Twitpic—a program not owned by Twitter—was also hacked. Elsewhere:

  • Rumors continue to fly that Transformers co-stars Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf are dating. “They definitely seemed into each other” at a recent dinner, a source tells the New York Daily News.

  • The grandmother of Madonna’s newest daughter, Mercy James, told a British television station she expected to start taking care of the girl when she turned 6, the Sun reports. “I still love her. She is my dearest,” she said.
  • At the latest in a string of high-profile appearances, Sacha Baron Cohen’s "Bruno" admitted his crush on Australian PM Kevin Rudd, the Mirror reports. “That guy is like, uber cute. I thought Obama was, like, the hottest guy in the world until I met Kevin,” he said at the Australian premiere of his film.
