Giuliani 'Thinking About' 2010 Run for NY Gov

Share

(Newser) – Rudy Giuliani today got one step closer to maybe announcing a run for New York governor in 2010, the Daily News reports. The former NYC mayor and Republican presidential candidate explained his position to CNN. “I’m thinking about it,” he said. “I don’t know if I’m at the point of seriously considering it. It’s a little too early.”

The state GOP has apparently given Giuliani a deadline of early fall to decide. A survey shows Giuliani faring well against current Gov. David Patterson in a general election, Politico adds—52%-34%. But if state attorney general Andrew Cuomo was the Democratic nominee, the study finds, Giuliani would fall 51%-39%.

I don't know if I am or if I'm not. I don't know yet. I'm thinking about it. I don't know if I'm at the point of seriously considering it. It's a little too early. - Rudy Giuliani, on a possible bid for governor of New York

If past strategy is anything to go by, he'll leave his campaigning to the last second, or even leave NY off the list of states he needs to win. Reply

How the hell he managed to use the deaths of over 3,000 people and get away with it is beyond my tiny scope of understanding, he is an opportunist of the worst type and honestly makes me sick to look at as he seems to always gloat of his 9/11 "success", in my opinion there are no success stories of 9/11 just tragic loss of lives as well as American freedom by opportunists.
