(Newser) – Federal investigators are assisting local authorities with the probe into Michael Jackson's death, the Los Angeles Times reports. Authorities have removed prescription drugs and other medical evidence from Jackson's home and are interviewing doctors who prescribed him medication.

Here's what's going to happen: Through the interviews with doctors we will learn that Jackson illegally procured a wide variety of experimental and dangerous medication. The mixture and/or prolonged use of these drugs helped bring about his death. The requisite, feigned outrage will follow, and the press and airwaves will ask, without irony, how this could happen, spending issues and hours with the question. They will call it news. Reply
