The FBI is not investigating Sarah Palin, a spokesman for the bureau said yesterday. Rumors of a federal probe have dogged Palin since she abruptly announced last week that she was resigning her post as Alaska's governor. Bloggers have reported rumors that feds were digging into Palin's award of a lucrative building contract, while mayor of Wasilla, to a construction company that worked on her summer home.

“We are not investigating her," an FBI spokesman said. "Critics are spinning, so hang in there as they feed false info on the right decision made as I enter last year in office to not run again," Palin Tweeted yesterday.
