Beckham Loses His Cool

Straight—but not fresh—from loss by national team, Galaxy superstar goes off

(Newser) – David Beckham got into a fight with an opponent during last night's 3-0 loss to Chivas USA in LA. The groggy, jet-lagged Galaxy star started shouting when Jesse Marsch fouled him on the leg, and the spat quickly devolved into a shoving match between the teams. Marsch said he apologized but Beckham "was kind of done with me."

Beckham had arrived from London earlier in the day after spending most of the week with the British national team, which lost to Germany Wednesday. By the end of last night's game, he was clearly exhausted and limping slightly. "I used him tonight and I shouldn't have done that," said Galaxy coach Frank Yallop.
