Perez Hilton has gone from “celebrity watcher” to “quasi-celebrity.” Public scuffles with Carrie Prejean, Dustin Lance Black, and Will.i.am have thrown the bitchy blogger into the spotlight—but who is he really? He’s happier than ever, on a quest to get healthy, and “gay. I’m very gay. And I like sucking cock. A lot. Put that on your cover!” he tells Benoit Denizet-Lewis for a profile in the Advocate.
Hilton’s run-in with the Black Eyed Peas brought him under fire for calling Will.i.am a “faggot.” But, he says, “I thought about calling him the n-word, but I thought the f-word was even worse,” and acknowledges he made “a bunch of mistakes.” Similarly, in defense of calling Carrie Prejean a “dumb bitch,” he says, “The word ‘bitch’ has no meaning to me. It’s just a word.”
