Blanket Jackson Sees the Light of Day

(Newser) – The carefully guarded children of Michael Jackson made a rare public appearance at his memorial yesterday, but for one of them it was even more revolutionary: Prince Michael Jackson II—aka Blanket—was seen fully for the first time, Fox News reports. Blanket, who was famously dangled by his father from a Berlin hotel balcony in 2002, appeared with brother Prince and sister Paris.

“Being part of the show was very good therapy for the children. They got to see firsthand what their father meant and the reaction his death has garnered throughout the world,” said a Jackson family friend. “But I don’t think we can expect to see a lot of them. The Jackson family won’t exploit them and we know Michael wouldn’t want that.”

Sir, I respect you and your opinions. I have just had enough. Never sported the one glove look or the red leather jacket. I feel that we have spent enough time commemorating this musician and enough is enough.

You are correct hamsammie; I welcome a resurgence of his music and legacy as an entertainer-- just don't drag his kids into the limelight with articles like this.
