(Newser) – President Obama delivered a letter from Ted Kennedy to Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican today, CNN reports. Obama met with the pontiff for about a half hour before leaving Rome for Ghana. The contents of Kennedy’s letter were personal, an Obama aide said, and “not known to anyone I know of except Senator Kennedy."

Obama “asked that the Holy Father pray for Sen. Kennedy, who as we all know is ill, and whose brother obviously broke an important barrier in our country by being the first Catholic president," deputy national security adviser Denis McDonough said.

Kookey, why the thumbs down for the truth? Can we not handle it? Nice of you to remember Mary Jo. They say there are two deaths: one when you die and one when nobody remembers your name.

I am often stunned by Obama's priorities. A letter from Ted Kennedy???? The president of the U.S. has a private meeting with the Pope of the world and his main thing is to bring a letter from TK????

deebles, best reason I can figure I received the two thumbs down is because the Kennedy clan is also reading this website. Anyway, I'd hate to be in Ted's shoe's come judgement day.
