Why Lover Killed McNair

Friends, family tell of course of doomed affair

Share

(Newser) – Within six months of meeting Steve McNair, Sahel Kazemi had fallen hard—and soon after came to the harder realization that the former NFL star wasn't actually planning to leave his wife and family for her, the New York Post reports in an extensive look at the chain of events that ended in the gruesome murder-suicide. "We told her [McNair] had a wife and children. It was always a red flag, but she never took our advice," says Kazemi's niece.

On a visit with Kazemi's family, McNair announced his intention of marrying Kazemi, the Post says, and friends thought he was sincere. But McNair was soon a no-show for a Vegas getaway, left the scene as Kazemi was charged with DUI, and she suspected he was seeing other women. On July 3, the 20-year-old Iranian orphan said, "My life is a ball of shit, and I should just end it." The next day, she did.

McNair cheated on his wife and kids with a home wrecking ho and then he had the balls to cheat on his ho with another ho. He got what he deserved. Never cheat on your ho. There will always be hell to pay. Reply

Cheating justifies death? Should we be lining up Gov. Sanford? I think not. A special warning to those who may be dating and or married to stormy7: do not cheat if you want to live.

Nothing justifies death. But manipulating people for your own satisfaction only works until you manipulate the wrong person.
