Man Drives Car Off Grand Canyon Rim

Park officials find car, driver 600 feet below edge

(Newser) – A man is dead after driving his car over the edge of the Grand Canyon today, the Arizona Daily Sun reports. Witnesses informed park officials that a car had just gone into the Canyon around 6am. Shortly after, investigators found the car and the man’s body 600 feet below the South Rim. The National Park Service has begun an investigation into the event.

Fondue - hammsammichs - I never said it was suicide. I said it should not be respected. It is selfish for one to do so, except for terminally ill or in cases like Terry Sciavo, but for everyone else, no matter how buried they get themselves in trouble, they can get out of it, unless you're headed to prison for life. In that case, provided you're guilty of your charge, you don't deserve respect anyway. Sorry to seem insensitive, for the most part suicide should not be respected, but everything is not black and white. (I thought for a second about troops and spies caught by enemies, and I am on the fence about that scenarios. I guess that would depend on the secret they are trying to hide. The human body can endure a lot of punishment and torture and survive, but the mind is a different story. Everything is not black and white.
