(Newser) – When Emma Watson said she was ready to leave Harry Potter behind, she meant it. The actor—whose only major role so far has been Hermione in the Potter films—is reportedly teaming up with shock rocker Marilyn Manson for her next project, playing a princess in a musical Goth version of Cinderella, reports the Sun.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has taken on other roles, most notably Equus and has not suffered any backlash. I cheer on Emma for finding such a radical change from Hermoine--good luck!

Marylin Manson is actually quite talented, but such a freak it is hard to see it.......But Emma Watson needs to avoid getting typecast if it's not too late...Look at some of the Star Trek alumni....Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn..ect..all talented but stuck.....I wish her luck
