Swine Flu Soars in England

Share

(Newser) – Diagnosed cases of swine flu have jumped sixfold in some parts of England over the last week, the Guardian reports. Suspected cases have risen almost 50% across the country. The pandemic has killed 16 people in the UK so far. British doctors say they are being overwhelmed by patients demanding the antiviral drug Tamiflu, and they complain that conflicting advice from the government is creating hysteria.

C_k, I'm surprised. How did you miss this chance to bash Single-Payer Healthcare (Medicare for all.) Reply

Well, about 200,000 or more die from regular flu each year so why is swine fllu getting so much attention? Regular flu is panedemic as well - just means it's everywhere. Could it be that the vaccine makers need new markets? Our press needs to do some research. I found several good articles on Dr. Mercola's site - complete with stats taken from WHO. Reply
