1 Dead After Stage for Madonna Show Collapses

Marseille show canceled after construction calamity

(Newser) – One person was killed and six injured today when a stage being built for a French stop of Madonna’s tour collapsed, the BBC reports. Construction workers were assembling the stage at a Marseille stadium when it “started shaking and collapsing,” allowing most of the workers to get clear, a city councilman said. The concert, planned for Sunday, has been canceled.

Madonna and The King of Pop within 30 days of one another? The world would have never recovered -- the conspiracy theorists would have rioted in the streets !!!

I never doubt Madonna. She was married to Sean Penn and Penn said in an interview that his favorite book--was mine--The Origin of Consciousness and the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind. That's not a book that you appreciate and marry an idiot. Well, OK, I did that once--but he looked like Robert Redford.
