Twitter executives are dreaming big, holding talks with seemingly every tech company on the planet, including Google and Microsoft, say confidential e-mails a hacker sent to TechCrunch. Among the revelations: Twitter was working on a reality TV pitch, has been in serious talks with Google, and aims to ultimately rack up 1 billion users, making it “the pulse of the planet.”

Twitter has been courted by everyone from major celebrities to Microsoft, which has been pushing an infrastructure deal Twitter isn’t open to. “Every tech company is interested in Hosebird,” a tool that delivers a full stream of tweets, says one document. The Google talks are particularly serious. “An agreement for some period of time makes sense,” reads one memo from last month, although another notes that Twitter’s “playing with fire here.” (More Twitter stories.)
