Angelina Is No. 1 Lesbian Hero

She beat Madonna and Lady Gaga, among others

(Newser) – Angelina Jolie is the ultimate lesbian heroine, the Telegraph reports. “Angelina was the clear winner, and she also has a dark side which many lesbians like,” says a rep for One Poll, which oversaw the survey of 2,600 lesbians. “All of the ladies in the poll appeal to women of all ages.” The top 10:

  1. Angelina Jolie
  2. Madonna
  3. Pink
  4. Martina Navratilova
  5. Ellen DeGeneres
  6. Kylie Minogue
  7. Lady Gaga
  8. Annie Lennox
  9. Beyoncé
  10. Germaine Greer

Wait...what?! Am I missing something here? Did the definition of lesbian change recently? Kissing another woman for a publicity stunt, or on the set of a movie does not make you a lesbian, nor does keeping exclusively heterosexual relationships. Reply

I think the point of the article isn't that the people listed are lesbians... they are heroes to lesbians...

and a hero doesn't really have to be real ... just a role(aw) model and as you can see almost non of the top 10 is gay in any manner ... Reply

Well, I looked at the whole list and sexy was not the top criteria. The list was made by a gay man or a misinformed heterosexual.
