Convicted murderer faces charges after parking lot transaction

(Newser) – ATF agents have arrested the man who sold the gun that killed Steve McNair, the AP reports. The suspect, Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., has prior convictions for murder and attempted robbery. He admits he sold a fully loaded 9mm pistol to McNair’s girlfriend in a mall parking lot 2 days before the shooting. As a convicted felon, Gilliam isn’t allowed to own firearms.

Sahel “Jenny” Kazemi and Gilliam met when Kazemi was trying to sell her car, police said. She mentioned that she was in the market for a gun, and Gilliam said he could supply one. Police believe she used it to shoot McNair in the head and then take her own life.

Gosh! If it a convicted felon who was not allowed to own firearms had one, I wonder what went wrong. Does that mean that we may not be safe from loaded firearms in our shopping malls, even though there are signs, clearly posted, prohibiting them? Oh no! The damn criminals may not obey the signs. "The suspect, Adrian J. Gilliam Jr., has prior convictions for murder and attempted robbery" Why is this guy not still in prison? First-time drug offenders have mandatory sentences but a convicted murderer walks free? WTF America? Reply

Least anyone get the idea that I am against gun- control laws, let me just say: I am not so much against gun laws per se, as I am against NON-ENFORCED gun control laws. Reply

There are a great many people out there who feel the exact same way we all do about the outstretching of the first amendment, illegal firearm sales and how about those much loathed, Pedophiles, otherwise known as The Sexual Predator. These "Lawsmakers" more deserving of the title "Lawstrippers" have somehow been able to convince the powers that be, likely due to a grossly overspent budget, that's been carelessly thrown away on such evils as filling the equally overstretched pockets of these very official sounding people who have crowned themselves more deserving than the innocent lives which have been so violently ripped away from them, their families and friends.Self proclamated men of power....all the while knowing themselves no better than the scum they fail to judge as stated in God's laws)... and get this, they somehow manage to get away with handing down these milk toasty penalties called "sentencing", which in all truth are nothing more than a little pat on their hand as if to say, "bad boy, very bad boy..now you be good now, ya here?" and they set them free once again...to continue on in their cycle of wickedness, destroying everything good left in this quickly diminishing world of ours. these dangerous felons a wonderful, metaphoric and unjustly earned prize at the bottom of the cracker Jack box , otherwise known as our prison system. Basically, this is how it works, imagine you kill, rape and do some really inhuman acts for pretty much most of your natural born life....but, by some devine force from above you get caught, brought in and sentenced for whatever trivial, limited interval of time... after which, having fullfilled only 1/10th of the 55 year sentence for having commited some terrible crimes against humanity...The least of which you are obligated to fullfill in reverence to those whose lives you've stolen from them and those they loved while in life or if they survived whatever harm you brought them, the remnants of a life they'll never feel the joy of ever again. Instead of this, all you must do is show up at your probation officer's place or he shows up at yours....yada yada yada and if all goes well and you don't screw up....you get set free once more, only to start righ backt wherethe justice system failed by setting you free...So, as the only constant rythym you've grown so accustomed....your back at your old tricks not before long and whether it's drugs, murder, rape or pedophilia....you go right back to your nasty, heinous ways. The revolving door of otherwise known as our Judicial System made originally for the victims and somehow, someway things were flipped on their belly and it's never been the same since...You b their obligation to society which is to show up at your probation officer's place or yours, once a month...at best, twice and only if you've killed or raped a number of times. Still being given more freedom than your victim or victims were left with..even if they did survive their attack..the emotional, psychological... Reply
