(Newser) – In her first formal interview since losing Britain’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle tells the Today show she never wants to lose her unlikely star status, Access Hollywood reports. “Being plucked from obscurity, it’s like a long journey, really,” Boyle says to Meredith Viera in a segment that will air on July 22. “You don’t know how it’s going to end. I don’t want it to end!”

Boyle also earns some compliments from her host: “You look gorgeous, I’m loving the hair. You’ve had a slight little makeover?” Viera asks. “Just a slight one. I brush up quite well,” Boyle responds. Despite the pressures of fame—she was hospitalized for exhaustion at the height of SuBo mania—Boyle is currently recording an album and says she’s having a “wonderful time.”

Not a bad backup plan, if things don't work out for her.

So long as she doesn't suffer anymore emotional breakdowns and doesn't cancel any concert dates, she should be fine. Remember Susan, sometimes fan's can be very unforgiving if you leave them standing the gate. It will be interesting to see how well her debut album will do when it comes out - I'll be buying one.

WAIT! Let me understand this. A 'celebrity' doesn't want their star-status to end? I for one am SHOCKED!
