(Newser) – The uncle of would-be royal fiancée Kate Middleton has apparently been filmed cutting lines of cocaine by the News of the World. He also boasts of delivering drugs and hookers, and of calling Prince William an obscenity—to his face, even though he was actually quite "lovely," Gary Goldsmith tells the tabloid's minions. Middleton's uncle has hosted the golden couple at his $10 million estate on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

But three passengers who didn't make it past San Francisco look set to spend a big chunk of their lifetimes in jail. (NEWSER) - Some 30 years after Britain and Argentina fought a war over the Falkland Islands, tensions are rising again. Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner plans to file a formal complaint to the United Nations about Britain's recent "militarization" of the disputed islands, the BBC reports. Argentina has been enraged by the deployment of Prince William —whose uncle Prince Andrew flew a helicopter in the 1982 conflict—to the islands, and by Britain's plan to send one of its newest warships to the region this spring. (NEWSER) - New hope in the treatment of addiction? A study shows that people hooked on drugs or alcohol have abnormalities in the brain that make them more susceptible. Researchers were able to determine that the abnormalities existed before the addiction set in because they found the same abnormalities in the brains of non-addicted siblings, reports Reuters . (NEWSER) - You may have heard the happy news: Prince William and Kate Middleton are the proud parents of a 3-month-old cocker spaniel . However, if you were hoping to find out what they're calling the puppy, prepare to be disappointed. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have strictly instructed aides not to reveal his name, the Daily Mail reports. Says a spokesperson, "He is a private pet and they do not want his name to be made public although the couple are happy to confirm that they do, indeed, have a new dog."
