Captured US Soldier May Be in Pakistan

Fox News 'expert' suggests that Taliban execute Bergdahl

(Newser) – The American soldier captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan may be in Pakistan, a potentially huge stumbling block in the quest to free the 23-year-old, ABC News reports. If the insurgent group that apparently kidnapped him has indeed moved Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl over the border to South Waziristan, the American military would be forbidden to pursue him "except under extreme circumstances."

Meanwhile, a Fox News analyst is drawing fire from across the blogosphere for suggesting the Taliban could "save us a lot of legal hassles and legal bills" by executing the soldier. Ralph Peters, a retired lieutenant colonel, described Bergdahl as "an apparent deserter," the VetVoice blog reports. "The media needs to hit the pause button, and not portray this guy as a hero," Peters said.

What pathetic behavior for an officer, but typical of a Repbulican nut job. The reason for his being away from his troops is still not known and pure speculation by media and the pentagon who wants to cover their collective asses.

That's an award winning post, deebs, and if the editors don't put it on RECENT COMMENTS they have their heads up their asses. If they don't it's probably because nothing longer than a twitter is allowed. Speaking of stuff that I don't get--why no thumbs down for gdgs? I guess you were waiting for me. I didn't hesitate !!! Thank you again for saying what I'd have probably wasted 15 minutes trying to articulate. You hit the nail so well and so hard I may send you a ticket so you can help me re-roof this place.

If an unpopular opinion is voiced on Faux News, it is most often drowned out by the bloviations of Beck or Hannity or you know who -- or a chorus of others on the "panel" like when the usually docile Juan Willliams tried to call out Kristol's scare tactics about healthcare reform recently. This guy was handled with kid gloves. I wonder why ...?
